Simple Woman’s Day Book for August 6, 2008
Go on over to Peggy’s for more information about
The Simple Woman’s Day Book meme.
Outside My Window… bird seed is growing, it looks a lot like corn.
I am thinking… about cleaning the carpets after lessons are finished.
I am thankful for… another normal day, my dh was on call all last week working day and night, this week we are back to our normal routine.
From the kitchen…dinner tonight, pancakes and bacon, I love breakfast for dinner.
I am wearing…a Supergirl tee shirt, jean shorts, bright pink flip flops.
I am creating… a novel guide and a patchwork purse and a crochet blanket for dd10.
I am going… to fold three loads of laundry.
I am reading. . . Wheel on the School out loud to the children.
I am hoping… to work on my patchwork purse today.
I am hearing…the ceiling fan whirl.
Around the house… the dish washer needs emptied and the beds need made.
One of my favorite things…home.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: swimming on Sunday afternoon.

Sharing the Love
As I wrote before Alicia over at Magic and Mayhem gave me a Share the Love award. The award was created by Cynthia at Memoirs of a Mommy blog to honor the donor that saved her son’s life and raise awareness for organ donation, her infant son received a heart transplant. The rules for giving the award are simple writes Cynthia, “share this award with those. . . whose love and friendship have enriched (your) life and made (your) world a better place. Share this award with all those blogs out there that you love. All the people who make you smile. All those that make you laugh. All those that make your day. All those that leave uplifting comments on your blog. **All I ask, is that you include a link to this post with the award and ask your recipient to do the same** “
Thanks Alicia, for sharing this love with me and now I’m sharing the love award with my favorite blogs.
Elizabeth over at In the Heart of the Home is my all time favorite blog and home school mom author. Her book For Real Learning is one I read and refer to again and again.
Dawn over at By Sun and Candlelight is also a daily read for me. She too is a home school mom whose beautiful photographs and detailed posts always inspire me.
I’m sharing the love with the people who I call friend . . .
Dawne over at Joyful Mother of Children and I met through and shared an online friend Missey who passed away. Dawn has many of the same struggles in home schooling I do and her posts always make me feel like I’m not alone.
Melanie over at Jubliee Farm who I have also known online for a very long time, encourages me more than she knows. I love to read about her life as a suburban mom turned hobby farmer’s wife.
Susan over at Peaceful Meadows whose strong faith and insight is a constant encouragement to me.
And finally I’d like to share the love with these two ladies who I have lost touch with, but whose influence changed my life in a good way.
The Mom who prefers to not be named, over at Raising Two Sunny Flowers is also an inspiration to me. Her women of the bible quilt blocks and fun home made unit studies are a don’t miss.
Angi over at Peakmore Academy one of the first people I talked to on line who home schooled. She has helped me organize and think through more home school concerns than I can count.
